In case you missed it…

Health & Safety

In case you missed it, Fire Door Safety Week was from the 25th to the 29th of September 2023. The week aims to raise awareness of the crucial role that fire doors play in saving lives and protecting property.

Fire doors are critical to your fire safety arrangements. They are designed to contain a fire for a defined period. This provides precious time for people to evacuate to safety and protects the fire services who enter a building, the building structure, and its contents.

If you have fire doors in your premises, you should check them to make sure they remain fit for purpose. You can do this by completing simple visual inspections, which BS 9999 recommends are done every six months.

To support Fire Door Safety Week, we created a free, easy-to-use fire door inspection template and guidance, which can be downloaded here.
