Lesley joined System Concepts in 2017. She holds a PhD in Human-computer Interaction, an MSc in Information Technology and a BSc in Mathematics and Philosophy.
Before joining us, Lesley worked in both academia and industry. At New York University, she conducted research with teams at two multinational tech companies, investigating privacy compliance in systems design. She subsequently worked as an in-house UX researcher within the educational technology sector.
With six years of research experience, Lesley is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methods, utilising the best approaches to bring users’ stories to the heart of product design.
Lesley specialises in:
- Planning and delivering research projects to meet business needs.
- Generative research including in-depth interviews, focus groups and participatory design workshops.
- Evaluative research such as usability testing and expert evaluation of online, desktop and mobile products and services.
- Interpreting research findings and communicating actionable insights and design recommendations.
