The Display Screen Equipment (DSE) regulations require employers to provide training and information to DSE users and this course helps to meet these legal requirements. What skills and information will they learn?
After completing this course, participants will know how to:
- Achieve comfortable positions, seated or standing
- Position their screens and input devices
- Arrange their desks and accessories, and organise their documents
- Use a Do-It-Yourself Ergonomics Checklist
This will allow them to:
- Reduce fatigue levels, eyestrain and headaches
- Reduce back, neck, hand, wrist, arm discomfort
- Minimise the effect of stress
- Reduce the fear of safety hazards
Course content
The course is highly interactive, consisting of slides, demonstrations, group activities, guidelines and exercises. A comprehensive checklist and reference guide are provided. Key elements of the course are:
- Overview of ergonomics
- Visual issues
- Musculoskeletal issues
- Ergonomic resources including a checklist, action plan and reference guide
Course information and how to book
This half day course is offered in-house. As an additional option our trainers can spend the second part of the day with participants at their work areas helping them to apply the skills they have learnt.
The course costs £600 + VAT for up to 20 participants giving a cost per head of £30 + VAT for a full course.
