Ergonomics in Healthcare

System Concepts is hosting a business breakfast to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Ergonomics Society.

We would be delighted if you would join us:

As medical procedures, drugs and equipment have become more sophisticated the risks associated with human error have increased, so that today improving patient safety by reducing error is a priority for health services worldwide.  Ergonomics, with its knowledge of human abilities and limitations has a key role to play in the design of safe medical systems and equipment. 

Our business breakfast features three speakers at the forefront of healthcare design:

• Andrew Kirby, Microsoft Healthcare Solutions Director
• Stephen Corbett, Head of UI Design, NHS Connecting for Health speaking on "Usability in Information Technology in the NHS"
• Eric Mills, Product Development Manager LiDCO speaking on "Improving Patient Outcomes – The Task at Hand".

The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session chaired by System Concepts MD Tom Stewart, with plenty of opportunity for informal discussions and networking.
