BiographyAnsgar is a principal consultant with System Concepts, and lead consultant for international usability testing. He holds an MSc in Ergonomics from University College London and a diploma in Physiotherapy. From 1996-1998 Ansgar worked for Interact Consulting, an ergonomics and health and safety consultancy and occupational physiotherapy provider which was subsequently taken over by System Concepts. Ansgar is a registered member of the Ergonomics Society, a member of the Usability Professionals' Association and a chartered physiotherapist. He speaks English, German, French and Dutch. Client Projects / Case Studies - Advising clients on creating safe, productive and comfortable working conditions for the users of office systems.
- Running a range of usability tests of Internet and Intranet-based products for a major IT manufacturer. This involved running usability evaluations (in English, German, French and Dutch ) with participants in London, Hamburg, Paris and Amsterdam, analysing the trial data and preparing detailed reports with recommendations for improvements to the design of the software.
- Conducting usability tests for a major mobile phone manufacturer, comparing the ease of use of their operating system with that of two of their main competitors. This trial involved 24 users and our independent report was used to inform mobile phone resellers.
- Assessing a variety of industrial workstations and production lines, including workstations in the automotive and railway sector and the paper and printing industry.

- Customising and conducting manual handling risk assessment courses for the London Fire Brigade and a major UK food processor.
