Stephen Flounders

Stephen specialises in:

Biography

Stephen joined System Concepts as a consultant in 2010.  He holds a 2:1in Law from the University of Sunderland, a MSc in Environment, Health and Safety from the University of Sunderland, and a NEBOSH Diploma.  He also holds a NEBOSH certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.  He is a graduate member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Prior to joining System Concepts, Stephen worked in the professional services sector as a safety manager, providing advice on a range of health and safety issues.  As part of the role, Stephen developed and implemented a fire safety management system and other health and safety policies and procedures, as well as carrying our risk assessments, display screen equipment assessments, health and safety audits and workplace inspections.  Stephen liaised with senior management on health and safety issues, managed and administered various outsourced health and safety contracts, as well as exercising financial and budget control over health and safety resources.

Stephen has previously worked as a consultant, providing health and safety advice to a range of public and private sector clients.  Stephen developed and refined health and safety policies and procedures, provided fire safety advice, assessed contractor competency and conducted workplace inspections across a wide range of sites.
