Biography

Dupe is a consultant with System Concepts.  She holds a BSc in Microbiology, an MSc in Microbiology (distinction) and an MSc in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Middlesex University.  She is currently a graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (GradIOSH) and a full member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (MIIRSM).  Dupe is also a certified first aider.


Dupe has four years of health and safety experience.  Prior to joining System Concepts, she worked for Skanska UK, a large construction company providing health and safety advice and support to different project teams and subcontractors.  While studying for her postgraduate degree, Dupe worked part time in a building services and facilities management company providing health and safety consultancy services to a wide variety of clients.  Prior to this, Dupe was a health and safety co-ordinator in the call centre of a large telecommunications company where she was involved in promoting health and safety awareness and providing advice and support. 


Dupe has been involved in a wide range of projects and assessments and her main areas of experience include the following:

  • Developing, implementing and auditing health and safety management systems.
  • Developing health and safety policies and procedures, including arrangements and responsibilities for managing health and safety.
  • Producing and reviewing health and safety, fire and emergency plans.
  • Developing health and safety standards, site rules and working procedures for contractors.
  • Managing contractors and subcontractors to ensure health and safety compliance, including issuing and reviewing pre-qualification questionnaires, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, issuing permits to work, identifying and monitoring KPIs and carrying out health and safety audits.
  • Carrying out health and safety inspections and developing corrective action plans.
  • Developing and delivering health and safety training, including inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, including fire, COSHH, young persons and general workplace.
  • Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and remedial recommendations.
  • Analysing accidents, incidents and near misses data for health and safety performance monitoring, trend analysis and recommending actions for improvements.
