Biography

Sam is a consultant with System Concepts Ltd.  He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from York University, an MSc degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics from Leeds University and Postgraduate Diploma in Multimedia and Interactive Systems from Napier University.

During the course of his studies, Sam has completed modules in Software Development, Webpage Technologies, Interactive Systems Design, Digital Media, Personal, Home and Ubiquitous Technologies, E-Learning Application Design, Industrial and Environmental Ergonomics, Human Performance and Engineering Psychology, Human-Machine Systems, Workplace Assessment of Safety and Health, Contemporary Human Factors Issues and Usability Design and Testing. He has detailed knowledge of research methods, statistics and experimental design, and has carried out a Systematic Research Review of the literature on designing for small-screen information systems.

Sam has skills in several digital applications and programming languages, including Flash, Director, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Protools, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, PHP and Java.
