John Fitzpatrick

John specialises in:

Biography

John is a consultant with System Concepts.  He holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing: Management & Technology from the Open University.  He is also a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health and the Institute of Quality Assurance.  He joined System Concepts in 2006, initially to provide additional support to the HSE project, Workplace Health Connect and assist on a number of other projects across System Concepts client base. 

 Prior to joining System Concepts, he ran his own consultancy for three and a half years which was focused on providing health and safety, quality and environmental management systems support to small to medium sized companies.  During this time, he worked with businesses in a variety of sectors, including financial services: office administration; warehousing and distribution; manufacturing; building refurbishment and security services; light engineering and electronic design.

John’s particular area of expertise is the implementation of management systems for small companies.  He also has a specific interest in stress management, including stress auditing, and is familiar with implementing the HSEs framework Stress Management Standards within a range of companies.

He has experience in developing and delivering training courses covering general safety management and specific topics, for example, working with display screen equipment (DSE), risk assessment and general fire safety.  John is also experienced in delivering the IOSH Managing Safely training programme.
